Hey Reader,

Happy Friday! We are staring down daylight savings this weekend and I am trying to embrace the dark season - including all things spooky. Happy Halloween Eve! 🎃

Since it's currently pouring here in Seattle, I wanted to flip the script today: let's talk about some warm, sunny, tropical places!

  • First, I wanted to share my recent experience in the tropical wonderland of the Four Seasons Tamarindo, in Mexico. This is my long but honest account of a place I did not expect to like as much as I did! I grew up on the beach, so there has to be more than a beach for me. Four Seasons Tamarindo delivered - from making guacamole to walking in the forest. I was never bored, and I loved every minute.
  • I have clients heading to French Polynesia this weekend - Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea - for their honeymoon. I loosely based this example itinerary on their upcoming adventures, including swimming with humpback whales!!
  • I also want to put small-ship luxury cruising on your radar, if it's not already. Forget mega-ships and buffets - these ships are like living in a luxury boutique hotel, but only unpacking once and seeing multiple countries. I have a special relationship with the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, who were the first to launch this kind of "cruise." They also continue to get RAVE reviews from clients. They are offering some really beautiful itineraries coming up in the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and French Polynesia. This one from Bangkok to Hong Kong for Christmas & New Year's is really tempting me!
